{no matter your income}

You know, this idea that there is never going to be enough. That you’ll never be in the place that you want to be, & that happiness & success is only something other people enjoy.

Though I’m a generally optimistic person, as I take time to be introspective, I’ve realized I’m guilty at times of having a scarcity mentality.

To see what I mean, let’s look at both mindsets, & see if you can relate to either. I know I experience both sets of thoughts on a daily basis–

→Scarcity mentality:

There’s never enough money.

I will never have money.

Success is reserved for only a select few, not me.

I won’t able to ever afford ________.

I’m always going to be in debt.

I’m always going to be poor.

This weekend a few fun things happened:

We are thrilled. The ability for a child to self soothe is awesome.

 

(of ) It’s short & sweet (only 30 pages–I read it & did the worksheets that comes with it in about an hours time).

I’m in a huge transition period in my life right now. It’s kinda sink or swim. I cannot do everything I want to do as a wife, mother, friend, blogger/writer/businessperson without getting serious about my time management. I’ve been keeping track of my schedule & to-do’s by writing on scraps of paper & relying on the ol’ noggin to remember things. That sort of approach is just not going to cut it anymore.

bits & bobs: excalibur giveaway, weight loss update {+ pumpkin oatmeal recipe variation}

This week was a weird one.

For one, Joseph was in Alabama all week for a training, so I was lone-starring it. Which, is never my favorite thing to do.

When Joseph’s away, I become more cat-like, more neurotic. With each night he was away, I slept less & less. If I wasn’t married, I think I would never sleep. It’s not that I don’t like sleeping, I can just think of a million & one other things I’d rather be doing. Good thing I have Joseph around to help keep me balanced.

On Monday I talked about the transition I’m going through with the blog. Part of that transition is going through & indexing all of my 625+ posts. I’m still working on it, but here’s what I have so far. The index boxes are also located on the side bar.
