As promised, here are some more Fitworkout videos for you.
Today: Pilates!
I began teaching Pilates 4 years ago, unexpectedly. There was a need for someone to teach a class at UVU where I was already teaching. I was asked if I would. I agreed to teach the class & I’ve been loving it ever since.
So what is Pilates, anyway?
Pilates is a term used to describe the exercises developed by Joseph Pilates more than 100 years ago.
Pilates exercises are some of my favorite because I can see & feel the difference the exercises have on my body. Primarily firmer glutes & greater overall muscle tone. It doesn’t happen overnight, but with consistency, you will see a positive body transformation.
Improved posture, enhanced core strength, increased flexibility & range of motion are some of the benefits.
I will be doing many more Pilates videos, but here are two to get you started.
Make sure to watch the intro before you do the stomach series. I have 10 minute leg series coming up tomorrow as well as a 4 minute booty blast. Can’t wait!
{Note: While Pilates is not cardio exercise, you should sweat (I did!) & get your heart rate up a little}
