{MM} “playing house,” a sneak peak at the ebooks + my fave links

baby-tyndale-and-josephWhen you have a newborn, sometimes you feel like you’re a kid again, “playing house.”

Except instead of a doll, you a have a real live baby, & instead of your little brother as the “dad” you have a husband.  It’s so much better.

My parents came to visit us last week.

My mom noticed how much I hold Tyndale.

“You just like holding the baby don’t you?”

“Of course I do!”

She pointed out the obvious.

I could sit around & hold, cuddle & kiss, coo & just stare at the baby. Maybe it’s my older age, maybe it’s because it’s my fifth and I know this time period passes in a flash, but I love holding this little man. I find every excuse and reason to hold him, or have him close to me in a wrap.

For anyone who is unsure about having more children (how can you love them ALL??), I’d like to say–the heart has an infinite capacity for love.

With each child, I feel my heart grow, & room is made.

Good stuff to share:

♥ I’ve liked Jimmy Fallon for awhile now. I think he’s uber talented, rather down-to-earth, & funny in a smart way. So, when he took over for “The Tonight Show” I was pretty ecstatic. I shared this hilarious clip on facebook last week of Seinfield’s stand-up routine on his show, but I didn’t share the interview afterwards, which I think is equally good (I love Seinfield’s bit about parenting, “we’re just too into it…our parents? they didn’t care…they didn’t even know our names!”).

♥ I loved listening to this interview with Terri Gross & David O. Russell–truly, excellence in anything takes a strong will, passion, & lots of work.

♥ Did you know it’s National Eating Disorders Association week? Gena provides 5 reasons to embrace recovery. Love her authentic, honest voice.

♥ For the kids: how to make natural dyes from fruit, awesome.

♥ A blog to follow: Erica D House–a 30 something single who shares adventures in love/relationships, fitness (lots of great reviews on fitness stuff), & healthy eating.

A sneak peak (!)
As I mentioned on Friday’s post, I will be launching my ebook, Fit, Strong, Lean this Friday.

It’s actually going to be two ebooks–one is the the diet plan, the other is the fitness plan. I decided to do this because though I think they go hand in hand, some people may only be interested in getting only one or the other.

Here’s a sneak peak of the covers, you can get a copy of The Diet Plan as soon as this Friday.

The fitness plan:

And the eating plan!

Both of these ebooks outline the plan I’m currently doing to get back in shape & lose weight after my 5th baby. It’s the same plan I’ve used after each of my other pregnancies.

And thanks for all your excitement about the new series–it’s so fun to know that you think getting fit is important too. I really, really appreciate all your encouragement & support.
