Love Notes 5: Carousel Ride

Part 5 of the series.

If you don’t know:  My husband, Joseph is training to be a JAG officer for the U.S. Air Force. His training takes him away from us late August to just before Christmas.  This is another installment of our correspondence.

Dear–

I’m so glad we talked today.  I was having a really bad day.  One of the awful, no-good very bad days.

I seem to be having a lot of those lately.

The fact of the matter, is what we’re doing is not easy.  It’s not easy being away from you.  It’s not easy homeschooling.  It’s not easy living in the basement of my gracious parents.

But after I got off the phone with you, I was greeted by my mother who had made dinner for us all.  We sat down & ate as a family & then she watched the kids while I went to the church & worked on making baby blankets for humanitarian aid.  Getting out & interacting with other adults did wonders for my perspective on life.

You know, you mentioned how you’d like to see more videos of us.

I now commit to doing more videos.  I came across this video today & wanted to share.  Hyrum was just 3, Asher 2, & Mali was just a babe.

Watching this video made me remember how much I love it when you tape things.

I like your running dialogue.  I like your voice.

I want you to know that you make life easier.

Thanks for letting me ramble & talk.

We’re a team, & talking to you reminded me that whenever I feel alone in the world, I just need to talk with you, & then I see more clearly.

Yours,

Janae
