MM: Marvelous Mondays, Vegas

Hi there, beautiful!

How I miss interacting with you.  Thank you, thank you, for your comments from last post.  You have no idea how much I treasure reading your thoughts & kinds words.  It makes my day.

Moving, being in limbo, has been difficult.

I truly loved everything about my life in Provo–my neighborhood, friends, my home, garden, yard.  I even loved the sidewalks & massive trees that surrounded the two sides of my house, the way the north entry sloped slightly because my home is 120 years old.

It’s hard to see it go, but as you reminded me, even more good experiences are to come.

I always read every comment & try to respond to each one (so you know how much your taking the time to comment means to me!), but I hope you understand that as I’m on the road I’m not able to do justice to your sweet comments.  I’m not one of the cool kids with wi-fi or an iphone, so I can only check in when I can steal a moment away & have the good fortune of also having internet access.  So thanks for understanding.

We finished packing a day later than anticipated (isn’t that always the case?  moving is such work).  But we finished!  I was so happy to get my copy of Dreena’s LTEV that I had mistakenly forgotten when we left to Washington the first time.  Over the top excited to really dive in once we get back to Washington, & experience all the deliciousness that I know I’m bound to find there (& when I do, you bet I’m taking a ton of pics that you can drool over).

We’re on the road again, today it’s Las Vegas.  Arrived last night.  Joseph & the kids have never been, & it’s been years since I’ve been, so when we drove into the city after hours of desert, we all oohed & ahhed.

We’re staying in a ritzy joint just off the strip, the Tuscany.

Only $65 a night (half the price of Treasure Island, which is where the kids wanted to stay, of course, because there’s like, a huge pirate ship in their front lawn), which you can’t beat that.  We’d pay $65 for a hole in the wall, anywhere else.

Today we hope to make it to the famous aquarium, maybe see a show, & of course, visit Treasure Island.

Today’s Marvelous Monday’s is going to be short (since I’ve got places to go, buffet food to eat, it’s Vegas baby!).

Here are a few fabulous links for you.

♥  Have you heard of Corrine Bowen?  I think she & I would be great friends.  I think you would really like her, too.

♥  I like perusing this blog & this blog, for great photography ideas.   Both of these gals are amazing with the camera.

♥  Want some great food photography?  I like this blog, for it’s authentic photography style & pretty, pretty baked goods (not vegan, fyi).

Hoping you have a deliciously fantastic week!

Lots of love & hugs,

♥♥♥

We’re going to San Diego after this, staying for 4 or 5 days.  Any must-see places or eats, I should know about?
