First, if you haven’t entered this weeks giveaway, hop to it! I’ll be drawing winners (there will be two) and announcing by tomorrow afternoon. (Also, Liz, our winner from last week, I still haven’t gotten an email from you…if you don’t contact me by tomorrow, I’m redrawing a winner.)

New Website

Next.

Exciting times are coming to this blog (which will soon be not just a blog, but a site!).

I hope to have my new site up by the beginning of April. While I can’t share all the details, I can say my new blog site will be www.bring-joy.com (don’t go there yet, there’s nothing there yet).

With my new site I’ll expanding my repertoire of posts, focusing on food, family, and fitness.

And one of the most exciting aspects of my new site will be that I will be blogging a bit more about fitness which will include 10 minutes or less workout videos, featuring, I’m a bit shy about it, but yes, me! Videos will be free, and you will be able to watch instantly. My hope is that I can share some of what I know, and you can get some highly effective exercise in in under 10 minutes.

Guest Blogger Invite & “Let’s Eat Greens!” Week

As a lead up to St. Patty’s Day (this Saturday, March 17), I feel it appropriate to lead up to the big day by establishing the first ever “Let’s Eat Greens!” week.

To participate, simply eat something green with every meal of the day (or if you can’t stomach anything green in your breakfast, eat a double serving at lunch or dinner). If you’re up for the challenge, say so in the comment section. Take note of how much better you feel when you up your greens intake. Greens can include ANY green vegetable or green leafy vegetable.

Throughout the week I’ll be sharing some recipes to help you get more green foods into your diet (check out today’s recipe: Creamy Parsley dressing, it will get you excited about eating that big bowl of salad!).

I’m looking for a reader who’d be interested in doing a guest blog post on your experience this week eating greens. If you’re interested, take pictures and notes of your experience (you don’t have to take a ton of pictures, a few will do) and email me one or two your favorite pictures, including a 300 word or less blurb on what you did, how you felt, any new discoveries about greens. I will chose one (or maybe two or three…) winners, and use your entry as part of a post next week.

What are you waiting for, go eat some greens!

[Need some inspiration? Here’s a post on recipe ideas, and another on why greens are great source of nutrients (including calcium).]
