Recipes, Recipes, Recipes

For all you tighties (that’s short for tightwads) and are looking for ways to expand your recipe collection without actually paying money for it, I just came across a fantastic resource:

The Vegetarian Times recipe database.

It’s a searchable collection (check it out, you can narrow your search down based on low-fat, vegan, kid-friendly, slow-cooker, ect., it’s a lot of fun!). The recipes are reliable (they will “turn out” as long as you follow directions :)) and even include nutritional info.

Word of warning though, even the “low fat recipes” may sometimes call for several tablespoons of oil (I don’t know how they can consider something low fat if that’s the case, but alas, here we are), which should not be a problem for you savvy whole fooders who know how to easily and effortlessly substitute oil in recipes without sacrificing flavor.

Bon appetit!
